PRODUCT INFORMATION Multiwall polycarbonate - very high quality polycarbonate panels made by extrusion.  Polycarbonate panels - one of polymer material, characterised by especial impact resistance, light transmittance and external environmental factors. Panels are coated with a UV coating, which is marked by a film with special inscriptions. UV-protected side must be installed on the outside.

Polycarbonate panels offer full 10-year warranty.

INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE
  • Set the direction of material properly. Make sure that the UV protective layer is facing outwards. Typically, UV-resistant side is labelled by inscriptions (Makrolon, Longlife, UV protection and so on). 
  • Minimum roof slope 5°. This means that slope is 90 mm per meter. 
  • The thinner is the material, the more densely the rafters and battens must be installed. 
  • The material can be processed with a circular saw, a jigsaw or a sharp knife. After the cut it is necessary to clean the trapped dust with compressed air compressor or vacuum pump.
  • The top of polycarbonate panels must be sealed as tightly as possible, usually a foil tape is used. The lower part of the panel is sealed as well using vapour permeable tape and U-shaped profile.  Panels are connected by H-shaped profiles, longitudinal edge of a panel is not sealed.
  • Condensation in the ends of sheet is possible in humid weather.
  • Bolts with gaskets are used for installation. Before screwing a bolt into material, it is necessary to drill holes 2-3 mm bigger than bolt diameter and then screw a bolt. Since the material at the temperature changes tends to expand and contract. Gap between bolts 500 mm.
  • Do not tighten bolts too much. If bolts are tighten too much ”pools“ may form and impurities may accumulate there.  
  • In order to maintain good appearance for many years we recommend to clean polycarbonate panels periodically. Panels are cleaned with warm water and soap and soft cloth. Do not clean with dry cloth, do not use solvents and alkaline cleaners.
